Open-air exhibition from 6 September to 19 October 2025

Once again this year, the open-air exhibition “Tramin Harvest Time – As It Once Was” invites locals and visitors to experience the late summer and autumn in Tramin.

Starting 6 September, Andreas-Hofer-Straße, Hans-Feur-Straße, Rathausplatz, and Josef-von-Zallingerstraße will become an open-air showcase of historic harvest wagons.

A Journey Through Agricultural Traditions

On display are traditional agricultural vehicles such as the Federwagen, Bruggen-Wagen, and Kastlet-Wagen, which once played a central role during harvest time.
With the agricultural shift beginning in the 1950s, many of these wagons were replaced by tractors – and with them, oxen, horses, and many forms of self-sustaining farming gradually disappeared.
The exhibition offers a glimpse into that past and illustrates how harvest work has evolved over generations.

“The wagons on display tell the story of Tramin – they show how past generations mastered the challenges of the harvest and agricultural life.”
Adolf Mayer, initiator of the “Tramin Harvest Time” exhibition

Informational panels accompany the exhibit and provide background on each wagon. Those interested in learning more about rural life and historical farming are warmly invited to visit the nearby Hoamet Tramin Museum.
