How much knowledge, creativity, and enjoyment is actually involved in preserving food? Preserving and canning are anything but old-fashioned. For generations, fruit, vegetables, and herbs have been preserved to enjoy seasonal treasures all year round. In this workshop, you will learn traditional methods such as canning, pickling, and drying, and discover how simple and versatile food preservation can be. Together with Elisabeth from Obergereuth Hof farm, you will prepare, taste, and experiment - creating items such as take-home apple sauce and a red wine compote. The workshop is complemented by practical tips on using leftovers, interesting stories about food preservation, and a delicious barley soup.
