About The Gradnes of Trauttmansdorff Castle

The Gradens of Trauttmansdorff Castle are a unique world fo experience of nature, culture and art.

Over 80 different garden landscapes covering an area of 12 hectares with an altitude differential of 100 m. A wide array of experience stations, themed gardens, artist pavilions, animal life in keeping with the theme, the familiar here and the exotic there... simply incredible! It’s no mere chance that the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle have been awarded the title of  “Italy’s Most Beautiful Garden” and “International Garden of the Year 2013”.
The castle where Empress Elisabeth of Austria once sojourned is now home to the Touriseum, South Tyrol’s Museum of Tourism. The focal feature of the museum is a vibrantly designed journey through 20 rooms, spanning the 250 years of tourism history in South Tyrol. The tour ends with a “trip” through South Tyrol on the biggest “tourism” pinball machine in the world.
