The exhibition until it rains presents new and site-specific artworks by artists Masatoshi Noguchi and Alexander Wierer.

The exhibition until it rains presents new and site-specific artworks by artists Masatoshi Noguchi (Tokyo, 1988) and Alexander Wierer (Brixen, 1989). Various assemblages made by found objects and natural readymades merge together within architectural interventions and processual works. The exhibition addresses the contemporary condition of instability and the need of mutual support in the context of human ecologies. until it rains is understood as a system, where the singular parts are developed in relation to each other and might change or disappear during the exhibition period.

Masatoshi Noguchi (Tokyo, 1988) is an artist and occasionaly a cook living and working in Berlin since 2013. He studied at the sculpture department of Musashino Art University in Tokyo (JPN). He cooked for an event for Hotel Amazonas in Renon/Ritten (IT) in 2022, and for Arts of the Working Class in Berlin (DE) in 2021. His works have been shown at Magma Maria in Offenbach am Main (DE) in 2021; at Ranzan Studio in Saitama (JPN) in 2019, at FuturDome in Milan (IT) in 2019, at Ventilator in Berlin (DE) in 2018; at Namisagashitekkara in Kyoto (JPN) in 2016; and at HKW Berlin (DE) in 2014.

Alexander Wierer (Brixen, 1989) is an artist living and working in Sarns/Sarnes (IT). He studied at Accademia di Belle Arti in Bologna (IT) and Kunstakademie Münster (DE) from 2013 to 2019 with exchange visits at Faculdad de Bellas Artes in Barcelona (ES) and Tokyo University of Japan. His works have been shown at Stadtgalerie Brixen (IT) in 2021; at Villa Messner (IT) in 2020; at Kunstmuseum Gelsenkirchen (DE) in 2019; at Cité Internationale des Arts Paris (FR) in 2018; at Teatro Poliziano, Montepulciano (IT) in 2017 and at CAFA, Beijing (CHN) in 2015.

Spazio CUT was founded in 2021 by Leonardo Cuccia and Maximilian Pellizzari inside the hairdresser COCO’ in Bolzano/Bozen, Italy. The gallery aims at promoting artistic disciplines and contemporary forms of expression, with the presentation of local and international artists in different narrative and exhibition formats.
