A sequence of scenes that, amidst running, chasing and much laughter, reconstructs Little Red Riding Hood's path through the forest

Once upon a time, there was a sweet little country girl..." begins a storytelling game in which the protagonists become wolf or she-wolf, boy or girl, going in and out of the story several times, just as children do when together they play "let's say I was...". A sequence of scenes that, amidst running, chasing and much laughter, reconstructs Little Red Riding Hood's journey through the forest. The show wants to tell, through play, the many aspects that the story contains. The words are repeated like a mantra, like a song learnt by heart, like something instinctive and natural. It was a discovery to enter between the lines, very few of them, of this fairy tale, known by all but of which perhaps few know the details. Among the different existing versions, from Charles Perrault to Paul Delarue, we chose to tell the Grimm brothers' fairy tale. We wanted to recount and emphasise the sense of freedom that Little Red Riding Hood experienced when she was first sent into the woods alone, and her innocence, which emerges clearly in her encounter with the wolf, towards whom she has no fear. And we wanted to highlight the pure spirit with which this 'sweet little country girl' faces the adventure. The actors interpret the story in an entertaining and overwhelming way, with actions as swift as children's play, where sometimes shortness of breath, or even hunger, can interrupt the newly created world for a moment, only to set off again with just as much energy.
