Ludwig van Beethoven Symphonies
The "Sinfonica delle Alpi Orchestra – Alpen Symphonie Orchester" is preparing for the celebrations of the 200th anniversary of the death of the famous German composer by performing all his symphonies between 2025 and 2027, accompanied by other important orchestral masterpieces that can best reconstruct, for today’s audience, as comprehensive a panorama as possible of the great composer.
On May 24, 2026, it will be the turn of the Fifth Symphony, whose opening is perhaps the most widely recognized piece of classical music worldwide. The “Symphony of Destiny” is preceded by Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante for violin, viola, and orchestra and Hummel’s Fantasy for viola and orchestra.
Many protagonists will grace this evening, starting with conductor Michael Form, a distinguished artist in the world of baroque music and musicology, as well as soloist Simonide Braconi, principal viola of the Orchestra of Milan’s Teatro alla Scala.
