Listening and Eavesdropping: In the Footsteps of the Three Girls

Live performance featuring readings, songs, and yodeling. Heidi Clementi and Brigitte Knapp, performing as the duo Huja, present their book “Horchen und Lauschen. Auf den Spuren der drei Madln.” In a live radio-drama format, they read and sing texts, songs, and yodels from the volume. Irene Hager, essayist and expert in medicinal herbs, introduces the historical and cultural context.



The stories, folk songs, yodels, and poems tell of the dragon, the elder tree, and the spinner—of becoming, being, and passing, and of the vital force that is constantly renewed.



The artists have sensed, listened, and embraced with all their senses, rediscovering a hidden female spirituality and bringing it into the present.



Brigitte Knapp and Heidi Clementi form the duo Huja: they sing, yodel, arrange, and compose authentic and original songs and pieces.
