From May 27-31, events and workshops in Bolzano to promote cultural dialogue between South Tyrol and Austria. Exhibition "Tyrol meets South Tyrol" until June 5.

One of the most important tasks of the South Tyrol Cultural Institute is to maintain and promote cultural connections with the German-speaking cultural sphere. Together with the Province of South Tyrol, the Cultural Institute aims to build a lively network between cultural actors from South Tyrol and Austria through the “kultur.raum South Tyrol-Austria”: a platform for meeting, inspiration, and collaboration. The “kultur.raum” thus provides a framework for dialogues and creative synergies between cultural creators from South Tyrol and the Austrian provinces.

From May 27 to 31, 2025, the “kultur.raum South-North-East Tyrol” will be held at the Waltherhaus in Bolzano. It will serve as a meeting point for discussions, workshops, and various events organized by numerous partners.

The framework for the events of the “kultur.raum South-North-East Tyrol” is the exhibition “Tyrol meets South Tyrol: Art in Dialogue.” Since 2010, young artists from Tyrol and South Tyrol have been honored annually with the Paul Flora Art Prize. The exhibition in the upper foyer of the Waltherhaus presents works by 13 artists, and will remain on display until June 5. The prize honors not only the outstanding artist Paul Flora, but also the cross-border cultural collaboration across the entire Tyrol region.
