Climate change poses a threat to the well-being of people and our planet

In its sixth report in 2022, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change called it "unequivocal" for the first time that climate change poses a threat to the well-being of people and our planet. And while countries, in almost standard fashion, reluctantly adjust their climate targets after each report, climate change has long since arrived on our doorstep in the form of forest fires, glacier melt, floods and other extreme weather events. The window of opportunity for us to act is closing and every single decision we make counts. This is also exemplified by the young British author Chris Bush in "No End of the World". Fragmentarily, she plays out one and the same narrative in countless ways - it quickly becomes clear that even small details can change the course of events: In a job interview, Dr Anna Vogel tries to land a job at the institute of the renowned climate researcher Prof. Uta Oberdorf. In the process, she stumbles again and again - sometimes due to the patriarchy, sometimes due to the generation conflict, sometimes due to her own inconsistency in putting her personal convictions into practice in her actions.
