Il prigioniero della montagna
The family idyll of the boat builder Giovanni doesn't last long. Things aren't going well on the construction site and Govanni has to ask his brother-in-law Enzo for financial help. They get into a physical fight and hours later Enzo is found dead. Giovanni gets wrongfully suspected for murder. He flees in the mountains were he was deployed in the past as a soldier. There he finds a job on a construction site for a power plant. Through his hard work and diligent behaviour he becomes friends with co-workers and superiors. He gets to know Grazielle and falls in love with her. The envious Sergio however discovers Giovanni's secret through a newspaper article and wants to charge him. Sergio dies after a heavy fall and Giovanni blames himself. His experiences made him more mature and therefore he returns back home to face the difficulties of his past.
The marvellous landscape of the Dolomites serve as background for this movie who is just as relevant today as it was in the past.
