Wine tasting

South Tyrol's winegrowers are known as unconventional thinkers who boldly took new and creative paths and thus built up one of the best winegrowing regions in Italy.
As part of this year's Gourmet Autumn Naturns a number of winegrowers and cellar masters will be presenting their wineries and wine collections.

(only in german and italian language)

The farm, first mentioned in the 13th century as "Widum Baumannhof", once served the local parish with its large communal oven. Today, it stands for sustainable alpine farming and energy independence.
From unfiltered apple juice – now award-winning – we moved on to traditional cider production. In 2012, climate change led us to experiment with wine at 1048 m altitude. Eleven grape varieties were tested, micro-vinified, and aged in amphorae and oak. Seven varieties remain, now grown and vinified as a field blend, fermented together in the old tradition.
The result: mountain BIO wines full of character, freshness, and vibrant acidity – grown at 1048 meters.
