"Goodbye Glaciers. Forever?" - exibition
Current climate policies are leading us toward a global temperature increase of 2.7°C by the year 2100. Sadly, this means we will have to say goodbye to many glaciers in the Alps.
However, every tenth of a degree less in warming can help preserve glacier ice worldwide and mitigate the effects of climate change.
To report on the profound changes affecting these environments—and to raise awareness of the issue—the Civil Protection Agency of South Tyrol, MUSE – Science Museum of Trento, Eurac Research, the University of Innsbruck, and the Austrian Alpine Club have collaborated on a new edition of the traveling photo exhibition “Goodbye Glaciers.” In this International Year of Glacier Preservation, we ask ourselves: will this be forever?
Thanks to the support of the Municipality, the exhibition will be on display throughout the entire month of August in the City Gallery at Dominican Square in Bolzano, open daily from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 18:00 (closed on Mondays).
The opening will take place on Friday, August 1 at 10:30 a.m.
