Flavours of tradition (Psairer Herbst)
South Tyrol's alpine cuisine has a long-standing tradition. It originated in the simple fare of mountain farmers, who used only ingredients produced on their own farms. Life on a mountain farm was physically demanding, so meals had to be especially hearty and filling. Today, these down-to-earth dishes have become well known far beyond South Tyrol's borders – while still remaining deeply rooted in local tradition.
Together with farmer Rosina, you'll prepare the " Muas" – a traditional farmer’s dish from the region, cooked according to an old family recipe. This is where the robust, time-honored art of South Tyrolean cooking comes alive once again.
Walking time: approx. 1.5 h | Difference in altitude: approx. 120 m
The event will be in German and Italian.
