Conference of the South Tyrolean Flora Working Group
Faroe Islands - Islands in the Atlantic
Sepp Hackhofer is an experienced and passionate nature photographer and member of the South Tyrol Flora Working Group. In the summer of 2024, he visited the Faroe Islands, an autonomous archipelago belonging to the Danish crown, for eleven days on his way to Iceland. It consists of 18 volcanic rock islands that lie between Iceland and Norway in the North Atlantic and are connected by road tunnels, ferries, causeways and bridges.
Hackhofer will talk about this next Friday, 21 March at 6 pm at the South Tyrol Museum of Nature in the lecture ‘Faroe Islands - Islands in the Atlantic’ as part of the meetings of the aforementioned working group. He will also be showing atmospheric images of a largely unknown world in the middle of the Atlantic with some surprising discoveries from the world of birds and plants.
Online registration on the museum's website at https://app.no-q.info/naturmuseum-sudtirol/calendar/event/532881 is recommended. Admission is free. The lecture can also be viewed online on the Nature Museum's YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/live/zlKiiG7b7Hs.
