Conference: Beyond the aquarium, amphibians and fish in veterinary medicine
How do you properly care for fish and amphibians at home? This question will be the subject of a lecture in Italian at the Natural History Museum on 21 November.
Since people have always relied on anecdotal knowledge, the care and medicine of fish and amphibians has always been of secondary importance. Thanks to numerous scientific findings, however, it is now possible to care for these animals properly.
The lecture in Italian "Oltre l'acquario, anfibi e pesci nella medicina veterinaria" at the South Tyrol Museum of Nature is intended to show how complex and fascinating it is to keep these species at home.
The speaker is Stefano Capodanno, a vet specialising in exotic animals, who deals with the medicine and surgery of domestic and wild animals and is a founding member of the South Tyrol Exotic Vets group.
Admission is free.
Online pre-booking on the museum's website at:
https://app.no-q.info/naturmuseum-sudtirol/calendar#/event/409319 is recommended.
