Bozner Orgelsommer/Estate d´organo Bolzano
Magne H. Draagen, born in 1974, studied
sacred music at the University of Music in Oslo, where
graduated in 2002 as a soloist in organ. From
2003 to 2012 he worked as cantor/organist
in cathedral churches in Oslo and Stavanger. From 2012
to 2021 he held the position of cathedral cantor
and titular organist at the cathedral of
Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim, the national shrine and
Norway's main church. He directed the diverse
sacred music department, with three cantors and six
choirs. He has taught at the University of Trondheim
(NTNU), the Academy of Music in Oslo and the University
of Stavanger, as a lecturer in choral conducting
choral conducting, improvisation and organ. Since September
2021 he has been cantor and organ specialist at the
St Michael's Main Church in Hamburg. In addition to
numerous CD productions and concerts at home and
abroad, Magne H. Draagen is also active as
composer, in the field of liturgical literature for
choir and organ and various instrumental ensembles.
