Associazione Arte del Far Ridere Franco Basaglia and Anna Kuliscioff
MONDAY, JULY 28 at 8:00 PM
The Teatro Werkstatt will present the figure of Franco Basaglia, through a performance that narrates his life, from anti-fascism and the post-war years, to academia and his leadership of the psychiatric hospitals in Gorizia and Trieste, all set against the backdrop of the profound societal and cultural shifts in Italy.
TUESDAY, JULY 29 at 8:00 PM
The Teatro Werkstatt will present the story of Anna Kuliscioff: one of the key figures of Italian socialism. Exceptionally authoritative, she earned a degree and specialized in gynecology. She settled in Milan with Turati. Rejected by Milan’s Ospedale Maggiore because she was a woman, she began her private practice as the “doctor of the poor.”
