This year, the 50x50x50 exhibition format, conceived as a biennial, is part of the Euregio Museum Year, which has mobility, transit, and relocation as its theme, and will be placed for the first time in a supra-regional context. With this in mind, artists from the three European regions of Tyrol, South Tyrol, and Trentino are invited for the first time to participate with their works in the sixth edition of the 50x50x50 biennial. The fortress of Fortezza itself is a crossroads between north and south and between west and east: it is crossed by two railway lines, the main road, and the freeway. Movement enables different kinds of exchange, such as that between cultures, between people of different languages and origins, of ideas and knowledge, and gives rise to relationships and cohesion. Hartwig Thaler, artistic director of the Biennale since 2011, has taken up this theme and made the following considerations for this year's 50x50x50.
