About Restaurant Schießstand

The shooting range of Termeno village (Tramin Dorf), located in the Via Tiro a Segno road no. 10, was founded in 1855 by the community physician and mayor Alexander von Keller. Nowadays the facility is also known for its eponymous restaurant with pizzeria, called “Schiessstand” in German, and is one of only four remaining shooting ranges in South Tyrol which still organises the traditional 120 m small-bore free shooting. The historical annual small-bore shooting was renamed “Josefi Fest- und Freischiessen” in 1951. Still today it is held every year at the weekends between the beginning of March and the beginning of April.
