Situated in the Western Dolomites at 1,520 m above sea level, Lake Carezza is part of the Municipality of Nova Levante. The size and depth of the lake depend on seasonal and atmospheric conditions because it is fed by subterranean springs from the Latemar mountain range. This mountain lake is also renowned as it is often cited in tales of the Dolomites.
