The Village Museum Tramin provides insights into the culture and traditions of the villagers past and present.

The museum focuses primarily upon winegrowing, agriculture, domestic life, and handicraft in the South Tyrol Lowlands. The collection of winegrowing equipment provides a complete overview of wine production from the beginning of the 20th cen. through the 1960s. Even the wine itself makes an appearance in the museum in the form of an international collection of Gewürztraminer bottles dating back to 1886. But local customs also constitute a main theme. The carnival characters of the 'Egetmann' parade in Tramin are also on display. This represents a high point of the year and dates back to an ancient pagan custom to drive away the winter.
