The village of Bronzolo/Branzoll is located on a large alluvial plain that was built to avoid the dangers of flooding by the Etsch/Adige river. It has a population of just under 3,000 inhabitants. In the nineteenth century, the income of the population mainly came from breeding animals and viticulture, although the wood trade and the dismantling of porphyry also flourished.
