Bereits zum fünfzehnten Mal steht im Wipptal das Fahrrad für einen Tag im Mittelpunkt des Geschehens.

Wipptal Cycling Day

It’s that time again: in the beautiful Wipptal valley, the bicycle takes center stage for one day – now for the sixteenth time. In Sterzing and the surrounding villages, numerous attractions and facilities are waiting to be discovered.

The cycling day is a wonderful opportunity to get on your bike with family, friends, and like-minded people and explore the landscape together.

Between the villages of Freienfeld, Wiesen, Sterzing, Mareit, Gossensass, and Brenner, many participating associations, businesses, and museums provide fun, excitement, entertainment, and refreshments.

There is also a sporting challenge: the entire route is more than 65 kilometers long. We are delighted to welcome your participation and warmly invite you to share this unique experience with us.

This cycling day is not a race, but a leisure ride through and between the different villages of the Wipptal valley.

Participation in the event is free of charge and open to everyone.

A circular route between the villages of Sterzing – Wiesen – Freienfeld – Mareit – Gossensass – Brenner will be marked, with several checkpoints along the way.

Registration and start are possible from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

You can start in:

Sterzing (town square)

Wiesen (park)

Freienfeld (sports area)

Mareit (festival area, village center)

Gossensass (festival area, village center)

Brenner (sports field, next to the cycle path)

All participants will receive a participation card, which will be stamped at the checkpoints. This stamped card must be handed in at the finish line (Sterzing town square) by 4:00 p.m.

Upon returning the participation card, each participant will receive a gadget (while supplies last) and one or more raffle tickets. Each ticket entitles the holder to participate in the prize draw, provided they are present.
