Renowned artist Hideki Iinuma personally presents some of his new works at the vigilius mountain resort.

Vernissage with Hideki Iinuma

The exhibition by Japanese sculptor Hideki Iinuma presents delicately carved wooden figures inspired by haute couture, pop culture, and art history. Fashion, identity, and emotion become poetic snapshots of inner states. For over 20 years, Iinuma has had a close connection to the vigilius mountain resort – a place of quiet nature and architectural clarity that gives resonance to his work.

“resonance” is a tribute to this long-standing collaboration and to the late gallerist Cornelius Pleser, whose collection will be shown to the public for the first time. Curated by Valentine Pleser, the exhibition brings together new and earlier works in a moving dialogue about the visible and what lies beyond, about garments and the human form.

The vernissage will take place on Thursday, 21 August 2025 at 6:30 pm at the vigilius mountain resort.
