Meraner Kabarett Tage

In german language.
First things first: Hildegard Knef (born 1925) did not have a twin sister. Irmgard is a theatrical, dramatic figment of the imagination. And: the lady on stage is a man, cabaret artist Ulrich Michael Heissig. But if the famous Hildegard Knef had had a twin sister, she would have been like the character on stage. She would not have sung ‘Für mich soll's rote Rosen regnen’ (Let it rain red roses for me), but rather, with a wink and a tear in her eye, ‘Auch ich wollt' Autogramme geben’ (I want to give autographs too). ‘Irmgard Knef’ was born in 1999, and since then she has been doing both: singing and giving autographs. With topics such as politics, religion, age and sex, Irmgard has successfully emancipated herself from her much more famous sister Hildegard. And she has achieved something that Hildegard did not, namely winning the German Cabaret Award. Or did her male alter ego win it? Somehow, both of them did.

Box office: The box office opens one hour before the start of the performance at the Merano Municipal Theatre. No discounts are available
