Trust in AI: Opening the Black Box
Organizer: NOI TechparkTrust in AI: Opening the Black Box
Thursday, 19 June | 18:30 - 20:00
NOI Techpark BZ | Seminar room 1
From diagnosing diseases to navigating autonomous vehicles - artificial intelligence is transforming how we make decisions. And in the future, its influence could reach even further, from public policy to economic systems.
Still, the way AI systems reach their conclusions is often unclear. Can we trust technologies we do not fully understand? And how can we ensure they are used fairly and responsibly?
These questions will be explored with:
▪️ Brent Mittelstadt, Professor of Data Ethics at the University of Oxford
▪️ Chiara Ghidini, Professor at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano and Vice President of the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence (AixiA)
▪️ Moderated by Cyntha Wieringa, Ars Electronica Futurelab
The event will be held in English. Admission is free and open to everyone.
