In 1965, against the backdrop of the emerging South Tyrolean terrorist movement, two families go about their lives: an Italian family in Rome and a German-speaking family in a village near Bolzano. Two families far apart, yet both pawns in a larger game, which makes them, in different ways, victims of strategies orchestrated at the highest levels of national and international politics.
