European experimental jazz musicians will meet in South Tyrol and create new sounds together.

The sound of our times:

the 2023 Südtirol Jazzfestival Alto Adige turns listening habits, styles and genres upside down and embarks on a surreal flying island to discover unheard sounds. From Berlin to Amsterdam, from France to Norway or from Poland via Austria to Spain, the festival is always on the lookout for new music. Bands and soloists of various jazz genres and of the experimental scene are invited to join the island, and to merge jazz with pop, rock, punk, hip-hop, noise, folk, 20th century modernism and also contemporary compositional styles. From June 30 to July 9, the festival will offer 55 concerts at more than 30 venues throughout South Tyrol. Meanwhile, anyone who wants to "explore" the festival island can do so digitally: The full calendar of concerts, with all dates, venues, band and lineup descriptions, is now available online.
