On December 5th, as soon as it gets dark, St. Nicholas accompanied by his angels and his servant Ruprecht crosses the streets of the village and enters the homes of children, bringing them gifts, praising them or reproaching them if necessary. St. Nicholas is also accompanied by several devils (Krampus), but they do not have permission to enter the house and will wait out side the door. in S.
