Sparkasse ATP Challenger 80 Val Gardena Südtirol

23.10. - 30.10.2022 Twenty-four years have passed since a group of tennis enthusiasts from Val Gardena decided to bring a professional tournament - a women’s tournament - to the valley. After the 11th edition, however, the limit of what was possible in the Tennis Center of Ortisei was reached. The Organising Committee then decided to make a name for itself in the world of men’s tennis. The “Sparkasse Challenger Val Gardena Südtirol” tournament for men is now at its 13th edition and will be held at the Tennis Center of Ortisei from 23.10. - 30.10.2022. As in previous years, the Entry List for this year’s tournament is impressive. The tournament is a stepping stone towards the world’s best. Numerous top 100 players played the tournament in the past editions. Special highlights were the participations of South Tyrolean tennis aces Andreas Seppi and Jannik Sinner (current No. 12 in the ATP world rankings). Andreas Seppi will be taking part again this year, ending his incredible career in Val Gardena. The tournament offers world-class tennis and at the same time gives the “young talents” of South Tyrolean tennis a chance to get a taste of professional tennis.
