The South Tyrol Museum of Nature hosts a German-language lecture dedicated to Tibet, one of the most remote and fascinating regions on Earth.

Speaker Xiran An, who holds a degree in Earth Sciences and Geography from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, takes the audience on a virtual journey across the Tibetan Plateau — the highest region in the world and Asia's main freshwater reservoir. The lecture explores the climate and physical geography of the area: from the formation of the plateau, to the reasons it is known as Asia's water tower, to surprising similarities with the South Tyrolean landscape.

Admission is free. Online registration through the museum's website is required.
