South Tyrol Jazz Festival: Matinèe
Pianist Felix Hauptmann's trio brings its unique style of improvisation to the Parkhotel Holzner in Oberbozen.
At an altitude of 1,200 metres, beneath a centuries-old tree, the ensemble's "compositionally distilled, organically rhythmic" sound, as described by Concerto magazine, is set against the backdrop of a vast alpine landscape. Through their fresh and communicative interplay, the musicians explore the boundary between structure and freedom. In this retreat above Bolzano, the trio's soundscapes blend naturally with the crisp mountain air.
