Sound words: Four-hand piano music with poetry

Poetry and four-hand piano pieces enter into symbiosis and present the listener with imaginative mental images.
The central work in the concert programme is ‘Jeux d'enfants’ by George Bizet: the composition consists of 12 piano miniatures that musically represent children's games such as ‘The Swing’, ‘The Soap Bubbles’ and ‘The Horse Carousel’... The writer Ruth Mairvongrasspeinten created a text cycle for this composition, in which each ‘children's game’ opens up associations and thus offers the audience a listening guide.
The repertoire also includes dance pieces by Johannes Brahms and various sketches by Valery Gavrilin.
