A Star Who Didn't Want to Be Sissi  Text, direction, stage: Chris Pichler With: Chris Pichler "I can't do anything in life, but I can do everything on screen," Romy Schneider said of herself. Chris Pichler slips into the role of the serious and impetuous Romy Schneider with respect and acting closeness to the soul. She follows her moving and eventful life - from the cheerful Sissi beginnings to her early, tragic end. The film icon Romy Schneider becomes tangible in all her human qualities, as a woman with two faces: vulnerable and rebellious, naïve and intellectual, hungry for life and love to the core, determined by others and full of rage about the pigeonhole into which the public and the media in Germany put her. It is a solo evening that also brings a piece of German history to the stage with great attention to detail. The actress, singer, narrator, director and author Chris Pichler has performed it over 50 times throughout the German-speaking world and beyond. The solo was Radio Play of the Year 2008, making Chris Pichler ORF/Ö1's Actress of the Year. "The opportunity to see this brilliant solo evening is not to be missed."
