PRISMA Poliedric Music Festival 2026 – 9th Concert
On 10 April 2026 at 8:00 PM, Maria Heim, Via di Novacella 5, Bolzano will host the ninth concert of the PRISMA Poliedric Music Festival 2026.
Performing will be the Trio Chimera:
Giorgio Lucchini – cello
Stefano Raccagni – violin
Marta Ceretta – piano
The concert is dedicated to the first prize winners of the LFN International Chamber Music Competition 2025.
The programme brings together three very different composers – Haydn, Copland and Brahms – all united by their references, more or less explicit, to the folk music of their respective eras. Haydn elegantly reworks Hungarian melodies; Copland, in Vitebsk, develops a Jewish theme inspired by the Yiddish play Dybbuk; Brahms incorporates a Bavarian dance form, the Zwiefache, into the third movement of his third Trio, freely alternating between duple and triple metres.
