Women See Many Things

is a photographic and visual experiential space that gives young women from the Swahili Coast a voice. The project, initiated by WeWorld, is the result of three participatory photography workshops designed and led by photographer Myriam Meloni. The workshops took place between February and May 2024 in Kenya, Tanzania, and Mozambique. More than 30 women aged 18 to 35 participated, producing a body of over 180 photographs, as well as three exhibitions in community spaces in the three participating countries and later in Italy.

The images created within the project not only reflect the realities of these women’s lives but also serve as an instrument of change: they invite viewers to question stereotypes and to assert their own place in the world with confidence.

The exhibition is presented to the public by WeWorld’s operational team in Bolzano, which—often in collaboration with the Autonomous Province of Bolzano—operates in 25 countries of the Global South, implementing development and emergency aid projects.
