Philosophical café - Unità e molteplicità, Oriente e Occidente
The philosophical element that typically contrasts East and West is the perception of reality. The Asian worldview perceives a fundamental unity that dissolves all opposition and sees in opposites a necessary principle of complementarity. The Western tradition, on the other hand, has progressively since Plato dualized, fragmented, and opposed every element of the world we are part of.
Philosophical Café, introduced and moderated by Camilla Stirati, philosophy graduate.
The event is open to the public. No specific prior knowledge is required just a willingness to question oneself and engage in open-minded dialogue.
