Painting Meets Photography – An Encounter at the Schwarzer Adler

On April 12, Kulturverein Parabel opens a special exhibition at the newly revitalized Schwarzer Adler, bringing two artistic positions into a dynamic dialogue: Thomas Biedermann and Simon Rainer.

The exhibition thrives on the tension between these two approaches:

Painting as gesture, photography as gaze. Where the painted image resists clear definition, photography sharpens the focus—and vice versa. What emerges is a dialogue that does not divide but connects: two ways of seeing the world, and many ways of experiencing it anew.

The Schwarzer Adler thus becomes a place of encounter—between artists, mediums, and visitors. An invitation to pause, to look, and to immerse oneself in the subtle yet intense nuances of art.
