Observation evening at the observatory
The 'Max Valier' observatory in San Valentino di Sopra/Obergummer offers the opportunity to admire the heavenly bodies of the night sky with various telescopes.
The observatory's main telescope is a Cassegrain reflector telescope with a mirror diameter of 80 cm. It is supported by a steel fork mount on a solid concrete base.
The observatory is run by the 'Max Valier' astronomers.
Each guided tour usually includes a short introduction to astronomy. Afterwards, everyone has the opportunity to admire different celestial bodies of the respective evening with telescopes.
