Reynolds Woodcock, a famous fashion designer, makes the heart of British fashion beat faster by dressing the royal family, film stars, wealthy heiresses, society celebrities, debutantes and high society ladies. An unrepentant bachelor, women came and went in his life, offering companionship and inspiration. A bulimic worker and impossible man, Reynolds disposes of his conquests according to his mood and runs his fashion house with a solemn air, flanked by Cyril, his sister and equally hieratic partner.
