Marian Vespers in Brixen

A vesper reconstructed by Franz Comploi with music from around the middle of the 17th century from libraries and archives in Brixen and the surrounding area is being performed for the first time today. Two vocal soloists, a vocal ensemble, two violins/cornetts, three trombones and basso continuo were chosen as the instrumentation: Ensemble Octovox, La Folia Baroque Orchestra, conducted by cathedral conductor Andrea Tasser.
