Marble Experience Tour - guided hike

Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Laas marble and experience an extraordinary journey to discover the famous “White Gold”.
Following an impressive film presentation and a visit to the unique “Laas Marble World”, you will gain fascinating insights into marble processing during a guided tour of the Lasa Marmo facilities. The adventure continues with a hike to the engine house of the historic inclined railway, following the footsteps of generations of quarry workers deep into the mountain.
Climbing the 365 steps of the Brüchler Tunnel, you will reach the viewpoint in front of the Weißwasser Quarry, the birthplace of the world-renowned Laas marble. Here, you can experience the impressive alpine setting where this precious natural stone is extracted.
After a relaxing lunch break, shuttle buses will take you comfortably back down to the valley. The tour is rounded off with a tasting of fine local specialties, making this a truly memorable experience.
Duration: approx. 7 hours (walking time approx. 3.5–4 hours)
Difficulty: Moderate (approx. 700 m elevation gain)
Requirements: Good physical fitness, sure-footedness, appropriate hiking clothing and equipment, packed lunch, and sufficient drinks.
(For safety reasons, access to the marble quarry itself is not permitted.)
