Ein Akt der Liebe zur Reinheit der Melodie, der mit Duke Ellington beginnt, im 50. Jahr nach seinem Tod. Im Quartett von Luigi Martinale spielen einige illustre Namen der internationalen Jazzszene: Cocco Cantini am Saxophon, Yuri Goloubev am Kontrabass und Zaza Desiderio am Schlagzeug. Martinale hat Musiker mit einer starken lyrischen Persönlichkeit ausgewählt, um seinen Originalkompositionen eine Stimme zu geben, in denen die starke melodische Komponente von einer ausgefeilten Harmonik begleitet wird, die die Geschichte des Jazz auf eine persönliche Weise neu interpretiert.
