Artistic and Spiritual Event

“Light and Shadow – The Painted Soul” will take place, an artistic and spiritual event that unites faith, art, music, and inner listening, hosted by Don Paolo Crescini, parish priest of the community.

Don Paolo will welcome the artists and the audience into the sacred space of the church, offering an atmosphere of openness and dialogue where art becomes a language of the soul. During the event, Don Paolo will also celebrate a short Holy Mass, as a central moment of prayer and reflection.

The event will be presented by journalist Dr. Pietro Marangoni, who will guide the audience through the course of the program.

The spiritual dimension will be enriched by sacred music performed by Maestro Livia Bertagnolli (voice) and Maestro Gino Bertagnolli (organ), and by a spiritual reading by Prof. Cristina La Marca, dedicated to the symbolic meaning of light and shadow in the inner journey.

An artistic contribution will be shared by four artists from Palermo, Pisa, Milan, and Bolzano, united by the desire to create a space of listening and depth, beyond differences in language and style. During the event, the four artists will offer a shared testimony, born from a human journey before an artistic one.

Their meeting is not based on similarity, but on listening and mutual respect:

Sigrid Plattner (BZ): “We did not meet to resemble each other.”

Elisa Costa (PA): “We come from different places, from distant stories.”

Monica Bandecca (Bientina): “We are united by a harmony that comes not from proximity, but from listening.”

Elisa Granelli (MI): “It is not an invitation to look. It is an invitation to encounter.”

The artists will present their research as personal and spiritual expression:

Sigrid Plattner, with recycled glass mosaic works, in collaboration with Glass Art Affair – Ester Brunini, where light becomes a sign of transformation;

Elisa Costa, with charcoal works, essential and deeply introspective;

Elisa Granelli, through synesthetic paint-sculptures made with heterogeneous materials such as wool, resin, and plaster;

Monica Bandecca, with drawing and painting, where the mark becomes an inner narrative.

“Light and Shadow – The Painted Soul” is not a traditional exhibition, but an experience of encounter, where art and faith dialogue within a sacred space, thanks to the hospitality of the community and the spiritual guidance of Don Paolo.

The event is open to the public.
