Elisabeth Frei transfers content from COVID's everyday life into Tyrol's actual and/or mythicized everyday culture.
The whole with outstanding creative-artistic skill and a lot of tongue-in-cheek humor.
She uses old books and illustrated books as image carriers, which she paints over and adapts with acrylic colors, using the traditional "Firtig" (the traditional blue apron) as the "blue thread" of the current "Covid cycle" which has become the identity-forming piece of equipment of South Tyrolean men's everyday culture
