Long Thursday shopping hours
During July and August, Kaltern’s local merchants invite residents and visitors to enjoy extended shopping evenings every Thursday, with stores remaining open well beyond regular business hours. Visitors can look forward to a unique shopping experience accompanied by a varied entertainment program.
On July 9, the evening will be dedicated to the theme “UNS’re offenen Türen” (“Our Open Doors”), inviting visitors to take a look behind the scenes of numerous institutions in Kaltern. In addition to the shops, the library, the South Tyrol Museum of Wine, the South Tyrol Wine Academy, the parish church, the Carabinieri station, the local police station, the Municipality of Kaltern, Raiffeisen Bank, Sparkasse, and the GefängnisLeCarceri gallery will remain open until 9:00 p.m. The South Tyrolean Wine Road and the White Cross will also offer visitors a deeper insight into their work and activities.
