LanaLive - From A to P & Maria Walcher

On Saturday, 3 June, there will be a hiking day entitled "From A to P" by and with hiking guide Markus Breitenberger in cooperation with the Lana education committee and Lukas Spitaler from the Algund education committee. Meeting point for the hike is at 9.00 am at the train station in Rabland. The Aschbach cable car will take us up the mountain. After visiting the "werkSTOTTschual", an old school in Aschbach that has been converted into an educational centre, the hike will continue with musical accompaniment by Pasui (Johanna Springhet, Barbara Grimm and Volker Klotz) over the Vigiljoch (picnic from the backpack), to the top station of the Pawigl cable car, where at 3.00 p.m. the artist Maria Walcher will present an installation on the cable car that is no longer in operation. "From A to P" is not only a hike over the Vigiljoch but also a connection between two cable cars: One is newly built, modernly designed and much used; the second, on the other hand, was suddenly discontinued after more than 50 years of existence and thus forms a kind of anti-mobility monument. The hike then leads down to the Forsthof bus stop from where the bus to Lana departs.
