The courtyard of St. Anna care home in Lana becomes the setting for an evening dedicated to the vibrant sound of brass music. The concert “Brass Gala” invites the audience to experience the rich colours and expressive possibilities of a brass quintet.

Performing is the Cinquino Brass Quintet, an ensemble of five experienced South Tyrolean musicians: Günther Graber and Fabiano Ruin on trumpet, Alexander Perathoner on horn, Johann Finatzer on trombone and Wolfgang Rabensteiner on tuba.

The musicians are active as orchestral players, soloists, conductors and music educators, with many years of experience on stage and in teaching. Several members are or have been part of the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento and regularly perform with orchestras and chamber music ensembles in Italy and abroad.

Alongside their concert activities, the musicians are strongly involved in musical education. They conduct brass bands, teach at music schools and secondary schools, and support young musicians in their artistic development.

What brings the ensemble together is a shared passion for chamber music and the diverse sound world of brass instruments. Their concerts feature carefully designed programmes that also include works from the traditional brass chamber music repertoire – a genre that is heard less often today but offers remarkable musical richness.

The repertoire ranges from early music and classical works to modern compositions and original arrangements. The ensemble places particular emphasis on balanced ensemble playing and stylistically sensitive interpretation.

With trumpet, horn, trombone and tuba blending together, the audience is invited to discover the impressive tonal palette of brass chamber music in an atmospheric setting in Lana.
