Lana Meets Jazz - EHWALD SCHULTZE RAINEY TRIO

The saxophonist Peter Ehwald and his pianist partner Stefan Schultze create open dialogues with the New York drummer Tom Rainey. They create dialogues that reveal themselves as a search process. It is better to ask one question too many than to succumb to the temptation of a hasty answer at some point. What they have been working on for years now shows a deep harmony that can only exist with the affirmation of the differences between their two characters. From this approach, they took New York drummer Tom Rainey into their midst. And in this constellation, he proves to be a powerful source of inspiration, as the intertwined, asymmetrical rhythmic patterns enrich the intuitive symbiosis of Ehwald/Schultze immensely.
