La poesia dei limoni - Wo die Zitronen blühn

The new exhibition "La poesia dei limoni - Wo die Zitronen blüh'n" shows us 17 works depicting lemons, which the artist has created over the past year. The paintings evoke nostalgia, for which the lemon, the symbolic fruit of a southern land, is the metaphor.
Jette's work emphasises the materiality of objects, combined with strong colours, rich in contrasts, capable of causing equally contrasting emotions in the viewer. Surreal fairytale landscapes combine elements that at first sight do not seem to belong to each other: lemons with shoes, fabrics, rocks...
